From the Restaurant Site...

Lauro Kitchen offers seasonal, locally sourced dishes inspired by the rich culinary traditions of the Mediterranean region. We have comfortable seating for 54 diners in an open and casual, neighborhood restaurant and bar, located in southeast Portland’s Richmond district. Our menu reflects chef/owner David Machado’s simple and authentic cooking style and his passion for fresh, locally grown and sustainable ingredients.

The open and airy 2,400 square foot space features large windows that look onto Division and 34th streets as well as high, vaulted ceilings and exposed wooden beams. The floor plan features an open kitchen with a gas-fired pizza oven tiled with cobalt blue Ann Sachs tiles as the focal point of the space. All of the wood used in the restaurant from the butcher block Madrone tables and bar tops to the exposed ceiling beams are sustainable, and all of the finishes used on the walls, ceiling and furniture are environmentally safe.
